Early 17th century Mandilion

Some details:

It’s got 31 pewter buttons and hand stitched buttonholes.

The collar and sleeves sport welts in a contrasting fabric. This is seen in art and extant garments from the 17th century.

The wings are made of 7 tabs sewn together and connected with buttonhole stitches.
