16th century linen shirt
Made of shirt/shift weight linen, the long seams are machine sewn and then felled and finished by hand with linen thread. The bottom is reinforced with a small strip of tape to prevent tearing, and the cuff and neck are worked with buttonhole tacks to do the same. I decided to set the collar ruff while it was drying just to make it tidy. The cuffs I left as is. The collar and cuffs have eyelets and ties for easily replaceable lacing. With proper care this shirt should wash well and live a long life.
